About CTET
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) in India administers the entrance test known as the CTET, or Central Teacher Eligibility Test. The exam is held to determine candidates’ suitability for teaching posts at various central government schools across the nation, including Kendriya Vidyalayas, Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas, and other institutions that fall under the central government’s control.
Two papers make up the CTET exam, which is given twice a year in July and December.
Paper-I: This paper is intended for applicants who wish to teach classes I through V. It assesses the applicants’ understanding of mathematics, environmental studies, language I and language II (both required), child development, and pedagogy.
Paper-II: This paper is intended for applicants who wish to teach grades VI through VIII.
